Hi,

I have a website running DesignNow template (as gallery). Is it possible that I use a SHOP topmenu item linking to the e-commerce furniture template to separate the shop from the gallery?

I am trying to upload the furniture template to a directory under public_html and making SHOP an external link menu item with link=shop/templates/hot_ecommerce/index.php. I am getting Restricted access error from the php.

Thanks in advance for your help

You should install Hot Ecommerce template in your Joomla (where DesignNow is default template) as usually, through Joomla extensions installer. The Hot eCommerce will appear in the list of templates. Then assigne the Hot eCommerce template to the Shop menu item only. Also, you must install VirtueMart template from Hot eCommerce. Extract this folder /components/com_virtuemart/themes/hot_ecommerce from the HotStart archive and upload to /components/com_virtuemart/themes on your site. Then select Hot eCommerce template through VM configuration.

Milos,

Now I am working on the VirtueMart installation. Could you please elaborate on the commnet in your previous post "Also, you must install VirtueMart template from Hot eCommerce"? Should I use the VirtueMart that comes with eCommerce template? Where do I find it?

Thanks,
Joe
