Virtuemart - add to cart not working

It has been published and is under User 9, it has always been there. Item 28 labelled - Your Cart.
I have reinstalled the module, published it and still no luck.

Go to Joomla admin --> Components --> VirtueMart --> Configuration --> Site --> Click Configuration under "Select the theme for your Shop" --> Disable "Use Ajax to add, update or delete products from the cart?"

Done, but when adding to the cart it takes you back to the home page and nothing is added to the cart.

What you have in your virtuemart.cfg.php file? Perhaps links should be with https because you protected your site.

I was always wondering why are people hiding their websites? You are making it for public, or only for yourself?

Not finished and not promoted website will have 0 (zero) visits, no matter if you protected it or not.

I will check the config file, but I am sure it is correct. I do not want to have the site live while I am constructing it and it is for the public. My promotion comes when it is finished and I enable google ads.

HTTP or HTTPS, it's a big difference in virtuemart.cfg.php

There's no public for sites in construction. Nobody knows about it. Nobody will visit it. When you are protecting websites it may cause problems with some Joomla components.
