menu items in alias menu link not active

Hi,
i have this kind of problem, im trying to create a new menu link using alias from menu manager, but the link 'Contact us' and many other links are NOT activated, why? and how the make them free to be connected? If i try to change the title to the existing 'Contact us' link it desappears and wont be anymore possible to create it again....

Maybe you did not configure something right for menu option. Look at configuration of some other item if the same menu level.

i do need now to translate the words "Categories" on top page when cliking the catalog page and "Recently Viewed Products" at bottom page, but i could not find the file.... please ca you tell me how?
