Hot Furniture Template - installing problems

I bought th hot furniture template an I'm trying since two day to install it successfully...

First I installed the latest Jommla version through my webspace service provider's configuration tool. Then I set all folders to CHMOD 777 and I overwrote my cms-folder with the content from the hot_furniturestore_hotstart folder. The result was 'a kind' of the demo template but it looked very strange (i.e. overlapping text)
So I deleted everything an the server AND all entries in the database.

I uploaded a fresh Joomla and then before installing it, I overwrote it with the hot_furniturestore_hotstart stuff.

Now when I try to install it I get an error in the head of my installation screen:

First of all, you should not use 777 permission, it's a risk.

Second, you don't have to mix various instances of Joomla.
The hotstart package contains all that is necessary for your site to look just like the demo.

Delete all and try to install hotstart package again and then post url to se that "overlaping".

It look's like mess.
Clear your http root folder completely (do not overwrite because joomla can create some files after and during installation and if there are already there that can cause problems ) and then copy files and folders from hot_start there. Then start installation.

(Remember to back up before clearing all content if there is something important you want to keep)

I've done a dozen Joomlas before but I don't have an idea what to do here!
Do I have to install more stuff from the downloaded files?

OK, the clue was to add the sample data!

I still wonder why this installation differs so much from others. At least for me it wasn't clear not to install a regular Joomla before. Moreover I would have a 1.5.22 version in my desired language...
