How to disable shopping functionality? was created by gregdei

Hello,

is there a smart way to disable the shopping functionality in Virtuemart?

My customer only wants the gallery with product descriptions. Later he needs the shop. So I would prefer to keep the Virtuemart instead of installing a gallery component.
