Link to menu-item in hot scroller was created by Redo-It
Hello,
Would it be possible to link to a menu-item from within the hot scroller, instead of linking to an article/category?
Why I want to do this : if I click on the link in the scroller, the corresponding article opens, but, I cannot indicate which modules, should not be shown on that moment. Modules are shown/hidden, on a menu-item basis.
Tnanks in advance !

Hello,
Your problem will be solved if you create (hidden) menu item for this article/category and then enable/disable modules for this menu item.
Thanks

Hello,
Tnx for your feedback.
I'm working in joomla 2.5 for this site.
I've created a new menu, with a menu-item linking to the article I have in the scroller.
But, that doesn't seem to work. And, I'm wondering if it should even be able to work.
Where do I tell the scroller, that it isn't the article that should be opened, but the menu-item.
Or does Joomla do this by itself?
Look at www.sleepwell.be (see attached picture, the blue flashes indicate the modules that should be hidden, when clicking the link in the scroller)

So, this is the page link created by scroller:
www.sleepwell.be/index.php/en/home/8-news/19-the-slashes
Now, please give me link of the same page where these modules are hidden?
Thanks

Hello,
So the menu i created is called : HiddenNew, with a menu-item, called ScrollerSleepwelNews.
The link of that menu-item is : index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=19
Opening that link shows the article, without the modules above it. See linknewsitemnomodule.JPG
The settings of the scroller : see settingsscroller.JPG
Thanks.
