RSS Feed in Hot Scroller? was created by russellmoran
Can you put a RSS Feed in hot scroller?
I have www.wtref.com and using Sportal template theme. I have HOT Scroller module and created an article inside of "Demo Content" --> "Scroller News".
I created a RSS feed plugin load module and position it at "espnfeeds". I put the {loadposition espnfeeds} in the article hoping it would stream the information. It is not doing so. I click on "read more" and it puts the tile, but no streaming information. My rss feed is sports.espn.go.com/espn/rss/news
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tested {loadposition espnfeeds} is some dummy article?
You may need to use "Cleanup HTML Code of Articles"''

I tested it, and it doesn't work in tht article either. I'm not sure what's wrong?
What is "Cleanup HTML Code of Articles"? I googled with no direct hit. I went back to my article page and turned OFF editor. With editor the code looks like this:
</p>{loadposition espnfeed}</p>
without the editor:
{loadposition espnfeed}
Neither work?

OK, now when I "log in" as a super user, I see the "news feed" in the article. But still not in the hot scroller.

Hi "Cleanup HTML Code of Articles" is parameter of HOT Scroller module, when you enter module manager-> hot scroller. That will cause that article html it turned into simple text.

Went to "Hot Scroller" module. In the "Module Suffix Class" I typed in "Cleanup HTML Code of Articles".
It didn't change anything.
I went to the article, nothing there, nothing nothing in scroller either???
What am I doing wrong?
