Figured this was a JQuery conflict issue and found
this fantastic plugin
that cured the problem.
Installed it, and then set 'Load JQuery' to 'No' in the scroller settings. This then uses the plugin's JQuery instead.
Now when I log in, my RokStories is running perfect as before.
Hope this may help someone with a similar JQuery conflict problem..
ps. this plugin is currently using JQuery 1.5.1
