The link is correct, but your image is not uploaded correctly... Did you CHMOD folder /new_site/images/stories/demo/gallery/thumbs/ to 777 (writable)?

Hi Milos,
I have to other folders and have changed the directory in the module, but the image is still displayed with the "red x". I am kind of new to joomla, therefore I am not sure what you mean by CHMOD, and when you said "to 777 (writable).

Hi,
777 (writable) means that you will give permission to process running you site to write files to that folder. You will find that option (CHMODE) in online file manager you have with your hosting control panel (this is not related directly to joomla). Depending on type of your control panel maybe there will not be option that is named CHMODE but there would be certainly be an option for setting folder permissions , so just make sure folder is not read-only.
You now see "red X" because you image is not actually there at all because it could not be written to that destination when you configured module(uploaded images).
