many problems from new install

Hi,
i'm beginner and use joomla 1.5.23. After standard installation, i bought DesignNow template. installed it, but have many problems. I tried to use demo model, checked documented paramters, but have carousel error message on my screen.

I don't understand what's wrong, and installation documentation is not helpfull !

Can you install plain Joomla on this server? Can you try to install this template on hosting provider's server?

no, i installed it on my local server (wamp) and already created my pages + content
i did not installed hotstart because i saw it after unzipping the package.
How can i make it works like the demo site ?
If i re install it by using hotstart, i'll lose all my data (?)

Yes hot_start is fresh installation with demo data, you can install it then migrate articles from your existing site using some tool , or install hot_start elsewhere then compare settings,configuration.. to make you site look like that
