instal errors

I have tried to install this template on a new site with the sample data. When I click, install sample data I get a sql error. The admin of the site works, but the public side does not. I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function getPath() on a non-object in /home/tloosle/public_html/designer-apparel.biz/libraries/joomla/application/categories.php on line 435

Check the following:

1. Does that file exists
2. Is the joomla version the same as one where you used template earlier like 1.5.0 to 1.5.22
3. Major joomla version differences like 1.5 to 1.6 - in this case you need correct version of template

this is a straigt copy and install from the current zip that I just downloaded from hot joomla. No changes, empty database to start, empty site.

I deleted all files and all tables and tried again, with the same results.

Can you just use hot_start - the whole joomla with template and demo data included?

that is exactly what I have tried to do and I get the sql errors and the php error??

Please give us your link and let us know if you installed Joomla 1.5 or 1.6 version?
