That are same links, just ones you state are wrapped below template selector.

Yes, there ARE differences, because VM1.1 and VM2.0 are VERY different. We tried to keep both versions as similar as possible.

If you want exactly what you've seen on the demo, install Joomla 1.5 and VM1.1 version of the template.
