VM2 does not have template as vm1 , chance in looks comes from normal template providing overrides in

<template folder>\html\com_virtuemart\

So you need to change that files or add new overrides of originals located in:

components\com_virtuemart\views\

I tried to change
but instead of green light, red, yellow comes out an arrow
why?

find:

.vmicon {
background: url(../images/update_quantity_cart.png) no-repeat;
}

rename .vmicon to .hotvmicon
