Good day

I bought the hot commerce package last year sometime. After having a few issues with the host server I finally managed to get a fresh installation onto my test site yesterday (26 June 2012).

I uploaded the hotstart package via ftp.

I installed as normal and then proceeded to back end. The template is not available under template manager. Neither is virtuemart.

The funny thing is that on ftp I can see the template under templates and virtuemart component under components.

Non of the additional modules are installed either. But they are in the modules folder.

I went to check updates and only J2.5 is available which would not help since I have the Hot commerce 1.7.

In addition I can't seem to find the new installation document, as my one takes me to a 404 page.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I figured where I went wrong. I needed to change my database prefix from the random one provided, as well as install all the sample data.

Have done this and updated all my tables. Worked like a charm.

Sorry for the trouble.

If anyone has this same issue check out this link to change your database prefix

and this link to install sample data after installation

By the way, if you installed version for Joomla 1.7, it's an outdated version which also contains outdated VirtueMart files. You should use this template version for Joomla 2.5.
