a warm hello to the forum from Switzerland!
We bought the template hot furniture (Joomla 1.1.5XX / Virtuemart 1.1.5). Because of the security problem Virtuemart 1.1.5 we updated to version 1.1.7 with the upload patch. Very strange: some hours the site looks unchanged, then after about 4-5 hours the layout (internet explorer) shows big white lines and doesn't work anymore correctly (see picture). The strange thing is that firefox shows it corretly! Also strange: By first starting of the site after uploading, there is a Virus Warning "Explit blocked" (after 4-5 hours).

Even after reseting the hole site (back to Joomla 1.1.5XX / Virtuemart 1.1.5) correct layout changes into a incorrect one with the white big lines.
Questions: is it possible to upgrade the Virtuemart Version to 1.1.7?
Is there anything overwritten in the html or template? (php / sql??)

Sorry are getting creazy!!!! We are looking forward to you support

Please give us your link. Also, Virus Warning "Explit blocked" perhaps means that you have viruses on your server (they are not from template) or that your server is not 100% compatible with Joomla/VirtueMart. Please check this with your hosting provider.

Thanks for your answer....very strange again: this morning was the layout with the white lines and didn't work... this afternoon (we didn't do anything) how wonder it's normal...! I can not understand this.. perhaps there are really server problems since a week.....we are going to check with our hoster.. and are waiting again a few hours, to see what happens.

You could clean Joomla cache as a precaution:
