How make the mod_virtuemart look like demo menu?

Yesterday we bought the ecommerce vm-template. We have a module installed, called mod_virtuemart which contains among other things a category menu for VM.

Now I wonder how I make this module look like the left menu in the demo site. I don't want to make a custom menu where I have to manually add the category items, which seems to be the case in the demo template.

Any suggestions?

It would be great if there is a module- or a menu- class suffix you could add to make it look like the column_left menu.

I have noticed that the menu in this VM module is not a simple list, it's the type <a class="mainlevel">.

What if I change the chrome of the module position to something else? At the moment it is named "hot".

<a class="mainlevel"> is old type of menu, legacy from old Joomla 1.0. It's not even supported anymore in Joomla 1.6.

Our templates uses only List Type menus model (new in Joomla 1.5, also available in 1.6).

So, you should check with VirtueMart guys if their module can support this menu type (check module settings) and check VirtueMart forum.
