ecommerce site not linking to pages

Hi, I recently purchased the ecommerce package to be loaded for me.
When I click on a link, I get a 404 - Component not found error message.
Also, when i click on an item, say cameras on the left hand links. It looks like it cannot find the link to the css file.
Any thoughts thank you.

Did you replace localhost:8888 in \administrator\components\com_virtuemart\virtuemart.cfg.php with your site's link?

Hi Ivan, Yes I did that thank you, Milos has helped me out.He suggested disabling SEF in Global configuration or enabling SEF with mod_rewrite( rename file htaccess.txt to .htaccess). I did the disable for now and it worked.
