Problem with author line

Problem with author line was created by vaulthread
The problem I have with the template is that if i make author and date hidden
there stll remains a " | " (the separator but no values left or right) just below the title bar, i could make it hidden via css, bbut id like to know whats the problem with it

We are not sure witch author and date you have in mind. Could you send us link a so we can see that?
