How to write articles in 2 columns?

Hi I can't find the usual parameter that allow to write the articles in two o more colums.

You must change menu item type to some other that supports that, for example "Front Page Blog Layout" , then "Columns" parameter will aper in Parameters(Basic)

Doing so I can't change the link field.
Now that I tryed I can't go back to the "Article layout" menu type because aooears the message:"Not Found

The requested URL /flash-animation/worx-garden-tools/the-arcade-game-simulator was not found on this server."

Only type that supports direct lint entering in text field is simple link type?
