Can I remove the designed by text from footer? was created by NikhilBalani
Am I allowed to remove designed by hotjoomlatemplates.com from footer in free joomla templates provided by hotjoomlatemplates.com?

Yes, you can, the free template is licensed under GNU/GPL V2.

That is html in custom html module , you can eater delete module or change it's content from module manager.
