:( Just want to let Hot Joomla developers know that the 0.96 admin template layout inside Joomla 2.5.8 is all screwed up. 0.95 looks perfect but in 0.96 now the admin layout is all out of whack.

I actually couldn't upgrade because I got this error......

Joomla kept throwing out this error message: "Template Install: There is already a Template using the named directory: Install. Are you trying to install the same template again?"

Then I tried installing a new version of Sparky on a new version of Joomla 2.5.8 locally (not on a shared host) (not that working locally matters, of course) and now its showing an ugly layout and i cannot work with the product.

ALSO WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO UPGRADE FROM 0.95 to 0.96?????????????

best way is to remove old template and add new.

If you have it installed online we would be thankful if you could give us admin access using "Report To Moderator" so we could see what is problem.

Okay I will try again. I did say in my previous message that I already tried installing the 0.96 version on a fresh Joomla 2.5.8 Install and its still showing up like my screen shot in my previous email.

Okay so each time you release an updated framework for sparky I have to trash my existing template? What if I spent hours on it? I won't want to do that! Can't you just release a patch or something to just update the affected files rather than removing completely? I know you can download and save templates but if I delete and reinstall can I reload my previous work?

Forgive me if I'm wrong here.

Entire Sparky settings is kept into the database as one textual string. If you know how to use PhpMyAdmin, you can browse table #__template_styles and look for column where sparky is. Under params column, you will find the string with all settings. After reinstallation, you can paste the string there and it will copy all settings.

However, it's possible that we will change list of the parameters in some future versions. In such occasions, this method would not work. We are planning to develop one-click-update feature in Sparky soon. This should fix such problems.
