Sparky Template and JCE frontend Editor -conflict? was created by Enopho
Hi All,
The website i am creating is still offline to the public, but I am using the JCE editor, it also happens when i use the TinyMCE editor as well, but the front end editor when updating as any user (Manager, Admin, SuperAdmin) seems to remove anything other than the plain text. I can update the page in the backend but i dont want the users to do this.
for instance.. backend i edit a page.. add an image and change some text to red. Save. all looks fine in the site.
then frontend i edit the same page.. highlight some more text and bold it. on SAVING the image is gone, the text which was coloured in the backend is gone and the bolded text is not bold?
I have made sure that the global configuration text filters is set to no filtering for super admin and admin, and those accounts still dont work. I spoke to the guys at JCE forum and they said it appears to be an issue with the template? so i have come here for some advice.
have you seen this before and can you advise please.
I am happy to give you backend access to the site but need to know where to send the logon details.
attached are 4 images:
1 is page beign edited in backend and then saved.
2 is same page being edited in frontend just after page edited in backend
3 results of page edit in frontend
4 global config settings for text filters
Thanks
Eno.

How could editor have anything to do with template - that is nonsense.
Check editor plugin settings.

Hi Ivan,
I think they were referring to something on the template might be conflicting with the editor - a script perhaps? not that the template itself is the cause.
