No, left and right are not in use (at the moment).

Template styles menus in footer, bottom, left, right, and user3 module position (maybe I missed some) , so put you menu in one of this positions.

What do you mean menus ?

This is in the main window, the standard article navigation !
There are more articles than can be shown on the page.

Why should I want the articles moved to a module position ?
