Hot Start zip file won't unpack in cpanel was created by Cassidy
Hi,
I'm having trouble unpacking the hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip file in cpanel. All of the others unpack ok but not the Hot start file.
I get this message.....
Archive: hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip or
hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip.zip, and cannot find hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip.ZIP, period.
Is there an easy solution please?
Thanks,
Simon

I have checked this. I uploaded the archive "hot_chameleon25_hotstart.zip" into the cPanel (Hostgator hosting) and it was extracted normally.
Maybe your host have an outdated cPanel. You can unzip this file on your local computer, then zip it up gain using your archive software. Then upload the new archive on the server and try to extract it.
Also, you can extract the archive on the local computer and use FTP to transfer all the files.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Is that an old version??
Thanks

Perhaps HostGator it doesn't show the cPanel version, as I can't find it.
However, you can use on of the two solutions I mentioned to fix this problem easily on your host.
