Hi,
I assume that you already crated module of mod_menu type. If you use joomla 1.5 you need to set menu style to "list". Set Always show sub-menu items to "yes".
Set Menu Tag ID to "nav". Set position to user3. Save.

HI,
I see that you are some kind of starter with joomla. Best is you install hot_start. That is whole joomla with template, modules, plugins and demo data. In zip package you got from us there is hot_start included (largest file it has hot_start in it's name). Clear your hosting root folder, then copy everything from hot_start zip to that folder. Go to www.yoursite.com/index.php and standard looking installation will start. Remember to install demo data when that option appears during wizard.
When you have that site running it will be easier for you to change existing content than to just install template ans start from there.
