Greetings,
Regarding the HotStart installation. I could use all of the demo content and extensions, but I don't want to install a fresh Joomla installation. I use simple scripts to install joomla and keep track of updates. Any advice?

Install hot_start, then overwrite files with your installation copy.

Demo installation is possible ONLY with HotStart method and the HotStart method is NEW Joomla installation.

It can't be different. New Joomla installation is the only way to move content from one site to another.
