The bug is fixed. If you are missing the Hot Carousel in Destinations for Joomla 1.7, please re-download and re-install HotStart

Also, you can just re-install Hot Carousel module and make settings as per attached image.

I'm having the same issues of the background of my website. When I change the default images it doesn't work.
