Images wont' imbed was created by lingold
When I try to add a new image within an article, I type in the pathway, the image appears in the preview below, but when I hit insert, the image isn't there.

FYI, when I built my site, for the most part, I simply kept the names of the imbedded images, and just updated them.

use absolute paths, or remove "/administrator" from images url in editor (then you will get opposite - visible on site , non visible in editor).

All this would not be problem if you configure you joomla's WYSIWYG editor properties properly.

I'm using the configuration that came with the Hot Joomla template. I haven't changed anything in those settings since installing the template, and I've never encountered this with previous Joomla sites (although I've only done a few).

I didn't use /administrator in the images url, and I'm not sure what you mean by an absolute path. Besides, I should be able to see the image in both the editor and on the site.

I would happily configure the WYSIWYG editor properties properly if I knew what the problem was. Can you give me some guidance here? I'm experiencing the same problem in two Hot Joomla templates: Leafs and Destinations.

Please read my answer in another tread. One more idea, does it work when you disable SEF urls in Joomla configuration (or enable SEF with mod_rewrite)?
