Can I update Joomla version? was created by tauorus

Hello,
I want to update the Joomla Version to 2.5.8 because I need to use a slider module called slidershow CK, but it doesn't work with the current Joomla version (2.5.4).

Yes please, this is serious, I need to know if I can switch to version 2.5.8 of Joomla, wich current is 2.5.4.

2.5.8 is stable release so it should be ok to upgrade
