problem with background image

Hi,

I want to have a static image as a background and I did as instructed i.e. I have uploaded an image (boat.jpg) and selected Static image and then written the name of the image.
I also read previous posts on this forum regarding background issues and applied the proposed solutions but none worked
Could someone help? Maybe I missed something?

For that template default bcg image is:

templates/hot_destinations/images/bg1.jpg

Yes, but when I overwrite it with a different image, the pyramids or ex-bg1 is still showing.
Could you recommend me what to do?
