Problems with Main Menu

Hi to all,

When I click on a main menu's option that comes by default, the products associated to that category are shown on the same window and with the main menu and banner (inset) in the same position (see pic.).




However, when I create a new VM category and add it to the main menu's list, and then click on it, the main menu and the inset banner disappears and only the products of that category are shown. I have also copied one of the main menu's option that come by default and even then I get a different behavior when I click it and the products are shown (see pic.).

Your problem is menu assignment in banner module settings, because it depends on each menu. For example you have top menu and main menu, in both you have items pointing same article. If you assigned some module for top menu, then when you get to it using main menu it will not be visible. But there is workaround you can then copy link from browser when you see all right , and then in main menu change item type to external url and put that link. When you get next time from main menu it will be same as you get there from top menu.
