Can't change header color

I have tried choosing "custom" and putting in the hex # to change the header color, but the site just keeps defaulting to red. How can I change this?

What exactly you are trying to change?

I want to change the header graphic- in the backend that is the section that you can change to pink, turquoise, orange etc. When I try to do "custom" in the backend and put in new color #s, it defaults to red and ignores my custom settings. This will show you what I mean: www.ashamiel.com/

So I want to know how to either make the header plain white, or I'd like to know how to replace it and put my own header graphic in. If I made a graphic in Photoshop the same size as the current one, how would I get that on the site instead?

that is default for Style 1 and custom, for style2,style3 it's header_bg2.png,header_bg3.png...
