Articles Top an Main Menu

How can I manage to make my aricles visible. Realised too late that there is no text area for articles in this template.
Tried to change index.php but it didn't work.
Thanks for your help.
I don't need the Shopsystem right now,only content.

That template does not have article area on home page. Use article module to display artices
