Admin panel error

I've installed the hot events template to a new install of Joomla 1.7 and have a problem with the admin panel.

In template manager, the information display is ... well, odd looking. The names of the functions don't display. See attached screenshot.

This is a new install of Joomla with no data. Installed via script on GoDaddy shared hosting. We have several other Jommla installs working correctly and other templates on this particular install that seem to work fine.

Any help?

Check first is there a file:

language\en-GB\en-GB.tpl_hot_events.ini

If that file exists open if and delete everything before line 7 , :

# $Id: en-GB.tpl_hotevents.ini hotjoomla $
# author HotJoomlaTemplates.com
# copyright Copyright (C) 2011 HotJoomlaTemplates.com. All rights reserved.

# Note : All ini files need to be saved as UTF-8
