Can't change logo

Hi,

My site is at blackhawkit.com/ . Probably a basic question - I am trying to change the logo image from the default to the required business logo. I have tried editing the custom HTML module in logo position using JCE editor but the code is being altered, perhaps by the editor:

Code before I click save (but after several attempts, each attempt adding a few more \\\\):

What can I do to show the logo?

Update: I'm using the Joomla 3.1 version.

Turn off magic quotes

Of course, that is the answer! I had accidently deleted my php.ini that was turning off magic quotes.
