Can't change logo image was created by kjamson
Hi,
I just downloaded this hot_flashes template for joomla25. I tried to change the Logo module for our company logo, but when I click save. The editor doesn't save anything. It just becomes empty. It only saves text, not any images. What did I do wrong?
Thanks.

Check permissions (all files should be 644 and all folders 755): Site > System Information > Directory Permissions.
Also, maybe you did not uploaded all Joomla files properly.
Maybe your PHP and/or MySQL version is not compatible with Joomla.

Hi Milos,
I am using HostGator hosting service for this.
I uploaded the entire contents of hotstart folder to my folder on the server via FileZilla.
I have verified all the file/folder permissions, and they appear to be correct.
The cPanel shows my PHP version is 5.2.17, and MySQL is 5.1.56. They should be compatible because HostGator offers Joomla2.5.1 quick install.
I tried using their install and everything could be saved just fine.
What else could it be causing this?
Thanks.

Only permissions are usually the problem. If you see images in editor before you click save then that is not the case.
Try to put absolute url in image src attribute and see what happens. Badly configured editor can lead to urls be created wrong.

Hi Ivan.
I could see image before clicking the save, so like you said it wasn't permission issue.
I fixed it by enabling server error reporting level to developer mode, and then changed it back. After that, it saves the images.
Thanks.
