Adding Scripts

I would like to add a weather widget and possibly a search box with the logo at the top of every page. I added some code into the html box where the logo module is and I have successfully changed the logo but it will not let me add code there. Its strips out the script tags when I save it. How could I make this work?

You must configure your joomla editor to accept <script> tag in plugin settings. Usually you don't need that because you add ready search module, I assume you have something specific.

I configured TinyMce editor to not strip the tags. and set super user and admin to no filtering. But it is still stripping the code. The information on the link above does not work for me. I just need a way to add a weather widget to the top logo area.

In Global Configuration select No HTML Editor, don't use TinyMCE for such code at all.
