Template Cut Off in IE8

Hello, I bought the hot-flashes template on March 5 and I am very pleased with the quality of the software.
But I also have the problem that internet explorer 8 and 9 cuts internal pages. In the index.php file, I added the change indicated in this thread, but does not work. The version of joomla is 2.5, I uploaded the template using the complete installation with the sample data of hot flashes.
I did not know where to download the module joomla xExplorer: I could not find it in the joomla extensions directory.
