Probel with SEF Page titles was created by Lucien_VRN
I've used the Hot_hotel template as a set up with the Hot demo content and then altered it as I've gone along to get to a working site.
All has been simple with one exception, when using the Top Menu some submenu pages display with the correct SEF titles but others don't, for instance:
www.magic-villas.com/dev/our-villa/about-us.html
is correct
but:
www.magic-villas.com/dev/2012-09-17-14-51-09/calendar.html
is not correct
as it should be:
www.magic-villas.com/dev/booking/calendar.html
I've checked all settings, and everything appears to be the same for the our-villa menu items as for the booking menu items. I have deleted the Hot Start demo menus (had just altered them to start with) and started afresh but still get the same problem.
I'm sure that I am just missing something but can't see the trees for the wood now. Any help appreciated...

That date like url part is often result of empty alias field in menu item settings. Check that

HI Ivan,
Have already tried that, the top menu are headers only, using the 'external url' option' as per your original set up, which doesn't unclude a menu item alias option, see attached screen grab.
If I use one of the Hot Demo top menu original items, and then just change it, it still displays the original title in the menu bar, so I'll get typography for instance even though I changed the menu title to Booking.
I've hunted through everything and just can't see where it gets that title from. If I make a new one, then I get the date like url.

for external url you have to do trick, first change menu item type to some that allows aliases , enter alias and save. After that change back to external url , set settings and save
