automatic height for div.column

hello, in the left side or the right columns side (modules), how can i do that the div.column is automatically long like the content. to be more clear, like in hot-destinations it takes automatically height size.

In destinations we have additional script that calculates and changes that

so it's not possible to mix it? or to add it on these one? i have both templates.

i have installed the 2.5 template, how about if i want to convert to joomla 3, is it possible? i should first install joomla than upload the template? is it possible?

Yes if you don't use some component that is not j3.0 compatible. Update is easy, you just need to go to Components->Joomla!Update , then go to "Options" and select for "Update server" "Short Term Support" after you save and refresh joomla will offer to update to 3.1.x. But be aware you do that on your risk, make backup first.
