Migrating from an older version of joomla was created by tiesgr
Hello,
I would like to ask if there is a guide of how can I migrate my old hot-hotel template to joomla 3 version.
There are no joomla update option to joomla menu components-joomla update and I think that there is a lack version of joomla installed on my server but I could do my work since now.
I want to update it to version 3 in order to be responsive and hopefully this time the menu of joomla to be fully functional and not lacking of any options.
Please should you require any further information feel free to ask.
Thank you,
Nikos

Make sure your extensions are compatible with j3
Vitruemart is certainly one of theme
Go to Joomla!update admin option, click 'Options' . Four update server chose 'Short Term Support'. Save and refresh back-end few times until joomla reports you can update to j3. Then you can run update.
After update you front-end will be blank or report errors. You will need to replace template. Simple template files overwrite is ok.

Could you please be more specific of how can I update joomla without having this option available. Would you like me to give you access to backend area so you can see for yourself that I don't have that kind of option. It is like a defective version of joomla had been installed.
Thank you,
Nikos
