Modules with same position sharing horizontal space was created by sharon
Hello,
We are upgrading a Joomla3 website to Joomla4, as the old template is not Joomla4 compatible we are trying with the Business template. I wanted to know if possible to have modules using the exact same position sharing space horizontally and not vertically. I tried different combinations and looked within the documentation and forum but can't find the solution. I want this to happen:
Top1 Top1 Top1 Top1
But instead this is what I get:
Top1
Top1
Top1
Top1
Let me know if you need more information.

Hello,
If you look at our template demo demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/business/ you will see it's possible for module positions (for example, look at footer menus). The layout of the module positions is controlled within the Layout tab of the template options. For more details read www.hotjoomlatemplates.com/sparky-docume...ayout/layout-builder
If you already created a layout and it's displayed improperly, please send the link to your website so we can inspect this.
Regards,
Milos

Hi Milos,
Yes, I see the bottom menu but they don't have the same position as they are user1,user2,user3 and user4 which means different positions and are assigned next to each other. I did try everything from the Layout documentation but still nothing, I'm trying to have the modules split in columns but each of them being on the same position and they keep going below each other. I've been looking if there is any code I should apply for them to split properly.
Also, if you need my website's link how do I send it?

Hello,
Please upload a screenshot of your Layout here.
Also, feel free to include the site link so we can check. You can post this on the forum privately (if you prefer) if you select a part of the text and click the "lock" (confidential) icon.

I've attached images of my layout. I modified the names of some of the positions, the grid-top2 and grid-bottoms are the ones I need them to split content. The entire layout is still being rebuilt as not having this work properly is why I'm not making other changes like background color, etc.

Hello,
But you made all module positions use 100% width. Therefore they are not stacked in a row, like:
Top1 Top1 Top1 Top1
So, you should resize some of the module positions (drag the right edge of a module position to the left to reduce its width) and use multiple module positions inside a single row (in your case 4).
Please read the page about Layout Builder once again as it explains it all.
