Hi, the logo module definitely wasn't installed with the blankie template...
but the "BLANKIE" logo is displayed in the right place (or if I switch of logo and enter text then the text is displayed in the right place) in the second row - just below TOP1 - on the left hand side of the page.
Also, I changed the file logo.png on the server to be my new logo, but now I get the logo "SPARKY" showing on my web page.

The white space is row reserved for logo and user3 position. If you want to completely remove that row you can add this to bottom of template_css.css:
.top_menu{
display:none;
}
.top_menu{
display:none;
}

Hi, this still doesn't solve the problem of how to display a different logo.
How do I set the name and location of the logo file in the blankie template?
And where do I find the logo module? (The blankie template does display the BLANKIE or SPARKY logo, or the text that I define in the configuration panel, so how does it do this?)

In module manager you will find custom HTML module, having only that one image in content, just edit it's content.
