Virtuemart Integration? was created by lmw1
How complex would it be to integrate Virtumart into this template and retain a consistent look?

You would need to install VM. If you're not satisfied with default look of VM, you would need to create template overrides for category and product pages.
We could do this, but there're some reasons why we didn't. VM is still full of bugs and there are many missing features. It's still not a serious e-commerce platform, but it's on a good way to become that one day. We have too much support requests for all VM based templates. Therefore, we put development of new VM templates on hold for now.
However, you can do VM integration yourself, if you need to.
