Hi,
just installed the Wine Template, the default Language after my first installation (even choosing Italian in the set up) is English.

I installed the italian Language in the extension manager (with the "Upload Package File" function, using the last Language file "Joomla_2.5.8_ita-Stable.zip")

... I tried choosing the new Language using the Extension-Language Manager, but I got the following message
"There are no available languages to install at the moment. Please click on the "Purge Cache" and "Find languages" buttons to check for updates on the Joomla Languages server. You will need an internet connection for this to work."

... The Purge Cache was succesfully done, but when I clicked the "Find new languages" I got the following error:
"The PHP allow_url_fopen setting is disabled. This setting must be enabled for the updater to work."

Please can you tell me how to get my site in Italian?

Thanks in advance

just done, the database seems to be fixed, after the operation, the message was:
"Database table structure is up to date.
Other Information
Database schema version (in #__schemas): 2.5.8.
Update version (in #__extensions): 2.5.8.
Database driver: mysqli.
66 database changes were checked successfully.
29 database changes did not alter table structure and were skipped."

I reload again the Language file (in line with the installed Joomla version 2.5.8), again I've got the message that it was correctly loaded into Joomla

... But, as soon I tried to change the Language, I've got again the error:
The PHP allow_url_fopen setting is disabled. This setting must be enabled for the updater to work.

I've attached the screenshots of these steps, maybe can help you to understand better the problem.

Can you help me to have my Db in my Language please?

Thanks again

Thanks Ivan,

it was in effect a setting problem of the PHP.ini, I've got the answer also from the internet provider.

Now I've already set the Language to italian for both the Site and the backend for the administrator, but english is still the standard Language for the contents, can you tell me please how to change also that to italian? (the only possibility in the "Content Language management" is to press the "new" button, but is not possible to upload any Language file for that)

Thanks again

Roberto
