Can't get Joomla installed with HotStart

I have attempted to install this three times now. I removed the installation of Joomla I had on my server before I knew I had to use the HotStart method. I unzipped and uploaded all files to the public_html directory of my server and checked all permissions.

I can access the initial page of the install but when I select the language and click NEXT, NOTHING HAPPENS. It just spins and spins and spins...

Please help.

check CHMOD set all to 755 (cpanel file manager can change CHMOD) , you can tight security after you finis installation.

check your php version, I've had this issue too which goes away when I add this to a blank .htaccess file

you may need to check with your host for the code that is correct for your server
