Large Existing Site was created by Entrecon

I have an existing Joomla install with a ton of information, so doing a fresh install with the Hot Start doesn't seem like it makes sense. If I try to manually install it doesn't look right, things are missing. How do I install when I have an existing site?

Install hot start on some auxiliary location , then look at its settings to replicate them for real site
