Wedding Template Fail on upgrade from 3.0 to 3.2.7 was created by ravbrat
I had serious issues installing Wedding template (J3.0) hotstart to my localhost using xampp - initial hangs on first page that took php code changes to make it work - then had another code fail when upgrading from the hotstart 3.0 to the current joomla 3.2.7 - I got tired of it and just killed it all.
Thinking it was just a xampp localhost issue I then decided to install the template on my paid hosting account in a sub-domain.
Installed the basic system to create all the data and links:
I then deleted all the files in that sub-domain
I then deleted all the tables in the MySql database
I FTP'd the hotstart files up to the sub-domain and began the install (as I have done countless times before, this method has never failed me, at least never in j2.5)
The hotstart files loaded properly and the system installed normally - no problems.
Logging in as admin, then first performing the core Joomla update from the hotstart version of 3.0 to the new core update of 3.2.7
When it finished the update - the entire website is GONE.
Absolutely nothing, no error messages, no scrambled data or images - just a white screen of nothingness....
Is this fixable?
Can you build new hotstart files for Joomla 3.0 (if necessary)?
What needs to be done to fix this and what other templates will this affect?
Please advise
Respectfully..... A Frustrated user.

When you update you need also to put template version for joomla 3 and replace all extensions that are not compatible with j3.0. What you get is usal thing when you go 2.5->3.x , probably you have some component that casues fatal exception so you get blank screen. Renaming extension (module/plugin.component) takes it out of pressessing so that way you can hunt for one that makes problem

I believe you misunderstood me - I did not install 2.5
I installed (from scratch) the wedding hotstart for Joomla 3.0
hot_wedding_31_hotstart.zip
As soon as it was installed - the first thing I did was the Joomla update from the admin panel.
That is when it failed and the entire site was gone.
Again, This was not a 2.5 to 3.0 upgrade - this was a fail of the wedding 3.0 template itself.
Please advise.
