Main menu styling lost when saving custom css

Many thanks for the information.

I only changed the menu name in the template settings, did not change the unique name in Joomla nor the menu type in the template options.

The settings have been going missing when working on the custom CSS changing various positional aspects on the front end.

There can have been several changes and saves then on another change and save the menu will either have disappeared altogether or the styling will have gone.

It has been sporadic and so far I have not seen any sort of pattern.

There's no option to change the menu name in the template settings. There's only an option to change the menu type (i.e. from "Drop Down Menu" to "Classic Menu"). If you make this change, all the template settings for this menu will be reset because they are different for each menu type.
