Hey there,

sorry if this is basic knowledge in Joomla but i wasnt able to find a hint on my following question.

Is there a way to load different predefined template styles by the use of different menu items?

For Example: --> click on Button 1 --> Site is shown in Style 1
--> click on button 2 --> Site is shown in Style 2

Would be kind if u could help me out!

Thx :)

Hey there,

i found the function for the copying of the template.
But i do have a question for u more experienced users.

The website im trying to build should have a summer and a winter version. The difference between the 2 versions is mainly the colour. Summer should be orange or green and winter blue. The other difference are 2 Mainmenu Items. These things should change by hitting a button. The first page of the site should only show the possibiliy to choose between winter and summer.

I tried a little around with the assignments and stuff. But before im going a to complicated way i wanted to ask what kind of solution u would take for such a project. Atm im thinking about a template for summer, a template for winter, and a template for the starting site to choose between summer and winter. But that would also mean i need every content twice. Because each menu item can only be assigned to one template.
I dont need a full manual how to do that. Just a hint which way to go for realizing such a site.

Im grateful for every help. Thank u!

You can just use styles in template /styles folder then set style1 or style2 when season changes

Aha, ok you want to give user such ability. Just create link that has query string parameter ?style=1 or ?style=2 based on that it will load

styles/style1.css or styles/style2.css
